| A graduate of Douglass College in New Jersey with
a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education, my early years were devoted to
homemaking, teaching and raising five children. My interest in art
followed a visit to the National Gallery in Washington D.C. in 1962 and prompted
enrollment in my first drawing class. I have studied art ever since in
Little Silver, N.J. with Betty Abel, in Rockport and Marblehead, MA with John
Terelak and in Atlanta GA with Amelia James, Quida Canaday, Joe Perrin and
Dolores Kennedy. I work in both watercolor and acrylics and paint
both the figure and landscapes. Most recently, I have been painting both
children in watercolor and animals in acrylics on canvass. I am now taking
commissions for Pet Portraits which I do from photographs. My work has been shown at A.R.T. Station,
Callanwolde Art Shop, Piedmont Art Festival, and the Atlanta Artists Center.
Awards include a Merit Award in an AAC Show. I have paintings in a
permanent collection at Grady Hospital and in several private collections in
Atlanta.
I presently maintain an art studio at Artists
Atelier of Atlanta, 800 Miami Circle Suite 222. Atlanta GA 30318.
